Adam launched Alias Intelligence in 2021 to change the status quo experience and revolutionize the stagnant background investigation industry for his clients. In 2013, Adam was the first hire at Vcheck Global LLC, where he rose quickly in the ranks and eventually served as CEO from 2017-2020.

With over 15 years of experience in multifamily credit and financing, Jen brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Vice President of Operations at Alias. Jen is responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.

Eli Gralnik
As Managing Director at Alias, Eli spearheads firm-wide business development, driving growth and expanding into new industries. With over seven years of experience in the due diligence sector, he has established strong partnerships with some of the largest global private equity, venture capital, real estate lenders, and investment advisors.

Adam launched Alias Intelligence in 2021 to change the status quo experience and revolutionize the stagnant background investigation industry for his clients. In 2013, Adam was the first hire at Vcheck Global LLC, where he rose quickly in the ranks and eventually served as CEO from 2017-2020.
During his tenure, Adam was responsible for the company’s accelerated global growth strategy. Under his leadership, Adam led the company to two consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies. Additionally, he oversaw the expansion of three additional offices.
Before his role as CEO, Adam served as Managing Director and Senior Vice President, where he was responsible for developing business relationships with many Fortune 500 companies. Adam’s prior roles have positioned him as an industry leader in Due Diligence and Business Investigation. Alias Intelligence is differentiated in the market via an entrepreneurial culture committed to scalability, innovation, and quality.
Adam and his life partner, Rachel, are proud parents to six wonderful children; hence why Adam is no stranger to managing risk and adept at satisfying all customers.
Steven Kaye

Inspired by Adam’s vision, Steven enthusiastically joined Alias at its launch. With 25+ years of operational experience founding, transforming, and growing multi-million-dollar organizations across various industries, Steven implements his vision to ensure the day-to-day growth of the firm.
Before joining Alias, Steven served as COO of an industry-leading home finishing retailer, tripling its size in just two years. Before that, Steven served as founder and managing partner of a law firm specializing in personal injury litigation, ultimately exiting through a sale.
Steven received his bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Yeshiva University, his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and his Executive Master of Business Administration from Quantic School of Management. He is a member of the Bar in good standing in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, DC.
Marcus Viereckl
Chief Technology Officer
Marcus is Chief Technology Officer at Alias Intelligence. His mission is to bring cutting-edge technology to Alias – offering the scale, speed, and customer satisfaction to set us apart in the industry.
Previously, Marcus worked at Blackstone for six years building FinTech SaaS products for the Private Equity and Hedge Fund industries. He has experience in programming solutions and leading a team of developers to build scalable, business-focused architectures. In addition, Marcus is known for producing creative solutions to complicated problems.
Marcus received a BSE in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University, focusing on signal analysis and computer architecture.
Dakota Deter
Vice President of Go To Market
As Vice President of Go To Market at Alias Intelligence, Dakota Deter plays a crucial role in expanding the firm’s presence across key markets. Dakota is known for a strategic approach that combines deep industry knowledge with a passion for technology-driven solutions, helping Alias to stay at the forefront of the due diligence industry.
Before joining Alias, Dakota served as the Director of Institutional Sales for Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Real Estate at Backstop Solutions, now ION Analytics. In this role, Dakota was active in developing and executing strategies to enhance market penetration in the PE, VC, and RE sectors. Additionally, Dakota collaborated closely with technology teams to refine the product roadmap, ensuring that the solutions met the evolving needs of clients.
Prior to Backstop Solutions, Dakota was the General Manager at Bullseye Group, a holding company of family businesses with a focus on residential construction. This role allowed Dakota to hone leadership skills and gain valuable experience in managing operations across diverse business units.
Before Bullseye Dakota served as a Marine Corps officer stationed in Japan, leading 55 marines in international operations Dakota holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where they majored in Finance and International Studies.
Dakota also earned an MBA from Michigan State University, further solidifying their expertise in business strategy and management.

His expertise extends to managing some of the firm’s largest accounts, leveraging his deep understanding of client needs and market dynamics to deliver exceptional value and growth opportunities.
Will Glisson
Vice President of Engineering
Will drives the development of industry-defining client experiences at Alias through constant technical innovation. In the face of increasing digital uncertainty, Will feels energized by the power and potential of Alias technology solutions to streamline diligence decisions.
Will brings a diverse technology background to Alias, having previously worked at small tech firms and most recently in an enterprise setting at Blackstone. During his time at Blackstone, Will led teams using modern cloud strategies, developed advanced data security features, and directed projects to improve organizational efficiency with better developer tools and practices.
Will received a BSE in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Tory Johnson
Vice President of Client Relations
As Vice President of Client Relations, Tory has a client-facing role to development and enhance relationships with many Fortune 500 companies; including, top tier law firms and lending institutions. She leads a department of talented client relations professionals, who pride themselves on their ability to exceedexpectations and provide experienced white-glove service.
Before joining Alias, Tory spent a decade in Big Law and the title industry as an Underwriter, where she gained extensive experience in due diligence (managing a national due diligence team), asset management, and worked on several high profile CRE transactions.
Tory received her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Gardner-Webb University, with a major in International Business, earning The F. Keith Grigg’s Award for continuing the traditions of excellence and integrity in written communication. She graduated as team captain of the Women’s NCAA Division I swim team.
Tory and her husband, Greg, are proud parents to a daughter and a son. Both parents, being NCAA athletes, find themselves now receiving payback (the grandparents are thrilled) where most of their free time is spent either at a horse show or on a soccer, football, or baseball field. Professional child chauffeur is in their job descriptions.
Jen Kairuz
Vice President of Operations
With over 15 years of experience in multifamily credit and financing, Jen brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Vice President of Operations at Alias. Jen is responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
She is deeply involved in improving business processes for each department through analysis and collaboration, working with the management team to formulate long-term business plans, analyzing the performance of support functions to suggest improvement areas, and setting guidelines for employee recruitment, evaluations, and advancement.Before joining Alias, Jen spent a significant portion of her career at Freddie Mac and CBRE, where she held various credit roles, including managing underwriting teams and overseeing multifamily loan approvals across the country.
Her expertise in ensuring smooth transactions by mitigating risk early in the process has been instrumental in her success. Jen’s journey with Alias began when she onboarded the firm as a vendor in her previous role. Inspired by the company’s mission and growth potential, she decided to join Alias to contribute to the evolving due diligence and investigative industry. Her passion lies in mitigating lenders’ risk and assisting clients in understanding their borrowers, making her an invaluable asset to the Alias team.
Eli Gralnik
Managing Director
As Managing Director at Alias, Eli spearheads firm-wide business development, driving growth and expanding into new industries. With over seven years of experience in the due diligence sector, he has established strong partnerships with some of the largest global private equity, venture capital, real estate lenders, and investment advisors.
Eli is passionate about building Alias into a world-class powerhouse in the investigations space. He leads client portal training sessions, ensuring that clients fully leverage the capabilities of their technology solutions.
A cum laude graduate of Yeshiva University with a degree in Business Management, he believes that when given the opportunity to compare Alias with other providers, the firm’s innovative capabilities and superior technology speak for themselves.

Bill Murphy
Bill Murphy is a Managing Partner at Cresting Wave, bringing Innovative technologies to the enterprise technology community. Bill is also a board member at Cherre and a Senior Advisor to McKinsey. Bill was a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Technology Officer at Blackstone, leading the Blackstone Innovations team from 2011-2020, responsible for the firm's use of technology along with a strategic technology investment portfolio. Mr. Murphy also served on many boards of directors of our investments along with the board of the Blackstone Charitable foundation. From 1999 - 2011, Bill was founding Chief Technology Officer for Capital IQ where he was responsible for overseeing all product design, development, infrastructure and technology support and was involved with all operations of the business. Before Capital IQ, Mr. Murphy led teams at Sapient, delivering solutions for large clients primarily in financial services. Mr. Murphy received a BSE in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, Class of ‘96.
Steve Spira
Steve served as President Worldwide Business Affairs, for Warner Bros. Pictures from 2004 through 2020 and was responsible for overseeing the business aspects of the Studio’s worldwide operations as they pertained to development, production, financing, and distribution of theatrical films for Warner Bros, DC Comics, and Warner Animation Group. Steve joined WB in 1985 and from 1986-2004 he held positions of Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Executive Vice President. Before WB, Steve was senior counsel from Twentieth Century Fox, following 10 years with a New The york-based law firm of Monasch, Chazen, and Stream. Steve received his bachelor’s degree cum laude from City College of New York and his law degree from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, where he graduated as a Samuel Belkin Scholar and was a member of the Law Review. In 2009 he received the Hollywood Reporter’s Power Lawyers’ Raising the Bar Studio Lawyer award. Steve currently serves on the board of several LA and NY- based charities.
